Barabbas is a novel of 1950 by Pär Lagerkvist. Barabbas the robber who gets released instead of Jesus of Nazareth, which will see him die on the cross and then gets tied to him all his life in impotent defiance. He understands the darkness of Calvary, but not the light of the empty tomb. He is seeking a faith but remain trapped in their own reality. Here is portrayed man's alienation in a world without God. In a world where Christians are persecuted and crucified. What if you do not find their faith or belief can not find the person it is meant for. |

This is Cobbler’s bay book. Reading this book is like seeing a good action movie: you will see how a group of teenagers go to attack a strategic harbour. Somethings go well, and somethings go wrong, one of them terribly wrong. I think the author tries to tell us that we don’t have to forget that this is war, and war is ugly. I like this, though I wish the group would always win. The end is a little too far-fetched, but the group deserves a reprieve. |

"Stranger" is an interesting novel to say the least. For starters, I nearly gave up on the book. I just wasn’t able to connect with the protagonist Max, which was particularly galling since the entire novel is written from Max’s point-of-view, although I did eventually get over it. |

The Eyes of the Dragon is a novel by Stephen King that was first published as a limited edition slipcased hardcover by Philtrum Press in 1984, illustrated by Kenneth R. Linkhauser. The novel would later be published for the mass market by Viking in 1987, with illustrations by David Palladini. This trade edition was slightly revised for publication. The 1995 French edition did not reproduce the American illustrations; it included brand new illustrations by Christian Heinrich. At the time of publication, it was a deviation from the norm for King, who was best known for his horror fiction. This book is a work of classic fantasy, with a clearly established battle between good and evil, with magic playing a lead role. The Eyes of the Dragon was originally titled Napkins. |

Many young fantasy novels wrap themselves in the dressing of Harry Potter and end up with tired stories featuring knock-off characters. Delaney really delivers the goods in Revenge of the Witch. This is a no holds barred horror tale with enough gore and other-worldly creepiness to keep you up at night. Delaney doesn't pull punches. He gives us murderous bad guys who are truly evil (not monologuing carbon copies of Voldemort), and good guys who are truly human. I internalized Thomas' fears to the extent that I dreaded turning the page to see what new terror awaited him. The haunted house scene near the beginning is worth the price alone. The nail-biting conclusion is easily the most memorable since the Hobbit or The High King. Epic in a very understated and humble fashion.
