Jag har läst ett par av Hornbys böcker och jag kan säga att lika plötsligt som mitt intresse väcktes, lika fort föll det (från ganska hög höjd, för att vara lite ironisk). Det här var en tuff bok att ta sig genom, och det var endast min ovilja att lämna en bok halvläst som jag inte satte tillbaka den i bokhyllan eller gav den till pappersinsamling. Jag kan nog inte säga exakt vilket eller vad som gjorde denna bok så rent ut sagt tråkig. Jag tror att man förväntar sig mer utav en handling som berör ett sådant ämne. Visst fångar Hornby vardagssituationer väldigt väl och gör inte en höna av en fjäder, alltså överdriver inte för att krydda sina berättelser, men, när man berättar om fyra sjävmordsbenägna människor och dessutom vill få hela storyn full med humor, då har man ett hästjobb framför sig och det klarar inte ens Hornby.

Jag minns att jag gillade boken när jag läste den. Tror jag. Den tar upp ett annorlunda ämne på ett mycket annorlunda sätt!
