Den här boken handlar helt enkelt om punk-pop-rock bandet Good Charlotte! Det berättas om hur de bildades, deras ständiga turnerande, vad deras videor handlar om och mycket, mycket mer. OBS: Engelsk text.
Utdrag ur boken:
"Everything we say is straight from our hearts," Joel told the Washington Times on February 15, 2001. "We can't write a fake song. Everything we write is either self-confessional or based on a true story. Everyone is going to know everything about my life three albums into this." He went on to explain, "A lot of our fans have gone through some of the things our music talks about. So to hear someone else express what they feel really means a lot to them."
The album's songs brought to the forefront the personal difficulties Benji and Joel had been through while generating a universal message of hope. The prevailing notion that "Everything will be alright"-a recurring lyric- caused fans to write to the twins to tell them that Good Charlotte's music was the only thing getting them through some tough times. Kids missing a dad felt that they had a real connection with the band. Girl troubles, school troubles, home troubles...these were all laid out in the open on the album, and young fans felt an extraordinary devotion to the band. "We want to give kids something to hope for," Benji told Teen People in its May 12, 2003, issue. "If one kid says, 'Your CD helped get me through this year,' that's all it takes."
