It's not easy to be Sam, 16, and forced with his mother to her friend's party to meet her daughter. But she is beautiful and soon Sam and the girl are a couple, which soon turns out to have fatal consequences. Sam is most interested in skating and he usually speaks with a big poster showing a great champion in skating when a problem comes up.
The novel is well-written and it's the 16-year-old Sam who tells us how life came to change for him. It'is always interesting to get acquainted with Nick Horny's books.
