Läste på engelska vilketdet nog var värt:
Agnes Grey is quite different from Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre and Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Somehow more modern I think. Agnes Gery comes from a quite poor family and works as a governess. U get a quite good picture of such a womans life in the 1900 century (1800-talet!) from the book. It was also very easy to read though the book is old. Anne wrote in quite a modern language. Some people say that ther isn't enought deaph(?) (djup) in Agnes Grey, but I think we dive quite deep in her character. Agnes Grey also reminds me of Jane Austens books, especially concidering the love story. It is very similiar to Austens Mansfield Park. Anne Bronte doen't however reach Jane Austens cleverness in dialogue etc...
But alla in all I really enjoyed the book. The only thing i don't understand, is why Anne Bronte called the heroin AGNES Grey. She should have chosen a prettier name to atract readers. This is off cource just my opinion, and some1 may concider Agnes a pretty name...

En trevligt tidsfördriv, men lite för mycket prat om äktenskap för att jag skulle uppskatta den.

Underhållande och lättsmält bok. Rekommenderas till alla som gillar engelska 1800-talsromaner med guvernanter, giftermål, religiösa moralpredikningar, testunder, förnämt herrskapsfolk, tidig feminism och en anspråkslös hjältinna. Mycket mer lättläst än "Främlingen på Wildfell Hall". Definitivt en bok värd att läsas. 3+

Boken blev lite av en besvikelse för mig efter att ha läst hennes systrars (Emily och Charlotte Brontë) romaner före Agnes Grey. Samtidigt är det intressant att jämföra systrarnas olika författartekniker.
