A story about how a large pearl will cause five deaths. It shows how people are prepared to commit crimes because of greed and envy, but also how a person who got a hold of something valuable will try to keep it even if it involves great difficulties in life. It is a story that gives some discomfort because of all the events. But I liked the book anyway.
