A story about a pregnant Irish girl who desperately is trying to find the young man to tell. A pregnant girl becomes easy condemned by the religious Ireland and abortion is prohibited, so she hopes that everything will be good if the young man learns that she is pregnant.
The story is sometimes very exciting when there's a strange man checking on the girl. He gives an unpleasant impression, and although he sometimes seems sympathetic so understand even the girl that something is wrong.

The book was easy to read, but not one of the best of the author.
