The main character in this story is Captain Whalley who is selling his ships. The money he meant to give to his daughter, but before this is done he lends the money for six months to a ship owner. Whalley becomes the captain of the ship that is a security for the money. But what he does not know is that the owner has plans to sink the ship.
The book is exciting and very emotional.
