Today it is difficult to imagine that Rome was a giant empire in the beginning of our era.
This novel set in the first century are very interesting history. Roman Emperor wanted to rule the whole world.
In this story, it's Brittannien that is conquered and those who were not slaves or insurgents quickly took to the Roman customs.
What I found very interesting was all religious acts and that Christianity was considered an odd jew religion nevertheless had followers.
The book was thrilling to read.
