A story that could be true even if unusual. To leave away a newborn baby when it's one of the two and say that it was death to the mother becomes a punishment for the family that makes the relationship deteriorates as the years pass.
The novel draws heavily on emotion and it feels real. It felt like a privilege to follow the two children grow in different directions in different families. It was fascinating to see how it struggled the right of children to their own lives. I thought it was interesting to read.
